One of the Academy’s principal missions is to provide first-rate continuing education for lawyer mediators. Each year the education committee plans at least one CLE activity meeting the standards for qualification under Iowa Court Rule 42.2 (2008). These conferences and seminars are held regionally, led by experienced mediators and educators on topics that are timely and informative for the practitioner.
This year's Fall Seminar “Kick It Up A Notch – Improve Your Style and Expand Your Reach as a Mediator” held Thursday and Friday, October 22-23, 2000 was a great success. There were 30 participants and all commented that the size of the group only added to the dynamic of the seminar. Handouts from the seminar are provided under the Articles page.
Information on future educational events will be posted here so be sure to check back.
